Sneaky Hamilton Island Cruise Getaway

I was super lucky to find a week where I didn’t have anything important on at uni in early October and got to sneak in a 4 night 5 day getaway with my boyfriend, Keenan, and our friends in their 6 week footy offseason.  We went on the P&O Aria cruise ship to Hamilton Island which I found in their mid year sale. A cruise was the perfect idea for a big group of people and the drinks were surprisingly cheaper than expected!

Unfortunately because Keenan finishes footy in early October and I finish my uni semester mid November we never got the chance to holiday for anymore than 4 days! Although, I am so thrilled because Griffith University has changed into trimesters from 2017 onwards and we finish at the same time, so now we can go on longer holidays together whilst I’m at uni! SO HAPPY.

Here are some pics of our quick getaway. Hoping to get on another cruise ship October 2017!!

This was such an amazing moment. Hundreds of dolphins were catching the waves created by the ship as it passed Hervey Bay. At the same time the sun was setting, and we were all together experiencing this amazing natural wonder. It was such a happy and memorable moment.
